RFID Tagged Ziplock for Drug Regimen to Track the Consumption of Pills by the Patient

Abstract

Patients especially the elderly ones often lose track on the number of pills consumed and medication start time. The count of pills is often forgotten or mistaken and patients may take wrong medication or wrong dosage sometimes. This results in medication non-adherence. Consumption of pills by patients is not monitored in any of the system though. Hence, a system could be developed that incorporates RFID tagged Ziplock to keep a track on the consumption of pills by the patient.
