A study of Transportation Problem for essential commodities as an OR model

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to define the transportation problem as a type of linear programming problem. This paper considers a case study of Mizoram a state in India where we try to minimize the cost of distribution of essential commodities to cities that are remote and disconnected.
