Abstract

Musculoskeletal systems are made up of bones, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments. There are a variety of diseases that can damage or affect any of those components. Some disorders mainly affect the joints (Ex.: osteoarthritis), which causes arthritis. Other conditions mainly affect the bones (Ex.: fractures, bone Paget disease, and tumors) or muscles or other soft tissues (Ex.: fibromyalgia, tendinitis). Various diagnostic examinations are accessible for diagnosing musculoskeletal disorders, but the more essential diagnostic elements are the medical history and physical observation of the doctor.
